Dear Colleagues,
The eighth of the Turkish Stroke Academy meetings will be held in Izmir-Çeşme between October 31 and November 3, 2024. We will be delighted to host our neurologists, the frontline physicians of stroke diagnosis and treatment in our country, at our meeting organized by the Turkish Cerebrovascular Diseases Association.
The Stroke Academy will be organized in a format that will bring together international authorities in the field of stroke with their colleagues in Turkey, as has been the case since its inception. The language of the meeting will be both English and Turkish. The main academy sessions will be held in English, while the pre-meeting courses and oral presentations will be held in Turkish. There will be simultaneous translation throughout the main sessions of the academy.
As part of the tradition of our meeting, we are planning to host more than 10 internationally renowned academicians from many different fields of stroke such as risk factors, imaging, primary and secondary prevention, and acute treatment, with the primary goal of enabling them to share their clinical and research experiences with us. Courses on intravenous thrombolytic treatment, neuro-interventional applications, neurosonology, and neuronutrition will be held prior to the congress. The entire program will last for four days, and will also include poster and oral presentation sessions.
The economic conditions and regulations in our country, have hampered the participation of our colleagues in international meetings in the field of stroke and neurology. With our motto "We Continue to Bring the World to You", the Organizing Committee of the Eighth Turkish Stroke Academy invites all neurology specialists passionate about stroke to experience a congress at international standards within the borders of our country.
Looking forward to meeting you in İzmir...
On behalf of Turkish Cerebrovascular Diseases Association 8th Stroke Academy Organizing Committee
